Door handles without rosettes - Polished unlacquered brass and black bakelite - Model ASTOR
The ASTOR door handle is an iconic door handle from Søe-Jensen & Co, which continues to manufacture it, according to the original moulds. ASTOR is best suited to older doors where the rosette and key escutcheons are mounted with wood screws.
The door handle is made of solid brass with a high copper content, and is cast in sand moulds, which gives the door handles a perfect surface. In addition to brass, black bakelite is also used to create a nice contrast.
The door handles comes without rosettes, and is not lacquered to allow a beautiful patina to develop over time. Alternatively, you can choose to polish it at regular intervals to preserve the original appearance.
